The new Upright Vacuum HL5 is a range of versatile corded bagless upright vacuum cleaners. With PUSH&LIFT™ for versatility, high performance and ANTI-TWIST™ which helps to prevent hairs and pet hairs wrapping around the brushbar. Thanks to its Instant Wand Release the accessories are always ready to be used.

Step on the foot pedal to PUSH & LIFT™ the upright vacuum cleaner into a versatile & portable vacuum for all your above floor cleaning needs, such as stairs & even the car.

ANTI-TWIST™ prevents hair wrapping

We all know how frustrating the cleaning of a vacuum cleaner can be. HL5 is equipped with our exclusive ANTI-TWIST™ which radically reduces hair wrapped around the brushbar.

Large capacity

The large bin is easy to release and has one click emptying for convenience. Its capacity is 2.5L gross / 1.4L net.

Variable suction

Thanks to the convenient suction control button located on the handle, you can adjust the suction power by moving it up or down. We recommend MAX setting for hard floors or short pile carpets, or MIN setting for deep pile carpets and rugs. The button can be set in the middle for most floor types.

Easy to steer

This vacuum has been engineered with a flexible joint: thanks to the 100° steering angle, the swivelling floor nozzle glides around your home and furniture with ease.

Deep clean your carpets

You can press the CARPET button to increase the speed of the brushbar in order to deep clean carpets.

Easy maintenance

Whenever you need to access the brushbar, it's easy to do as the top window pops open for instant access, taking the hassle out of maintenance.

Reveal hidden dust

The nozzle is equipped with LED headlights to illuminate those hard to see dark areas, such as under the sofa or bed. The lights are integrated within a bumper that won't scratch your skirting boards or furniture​.

What different models are available in the Hoover HL5 PUSH&LIFT range?

The Hoover HL5 PUSH&LIFT range has 2 variations:

  • Hoover HL5 PUSH&LIFT Home - The red and grey standard model.
  • Hoover HL5 PUSH&LIFT Pets - The blue and yellow pets model with an additional mini turbo brush for cleaning up pet hair.

How do you empty the dust container?

  1. Press and hold the dust bin release button.
  2. Remove the dust bin assembly from your cleaner.
  3. Press the dust bin empty button over a rubbish bin to empty.
  4. Press the dust bin lid button to release the bin lid.
  5. Open the dust bin lid.
  6. Remove excess debris over a rubbish bin.

To refit the dust bin to your cleaner, follow the above steps in reverse.

How do you clean the exhaust filter?

1. Push the exhaust filter cover release button upwards.

2. Remove the exhaust filter cover from your cleaner.

3. Press the exhaust filter release latch and remove the filter.

4. Remove any excess debris from the filter.

5. Clean the filter using lukewarm water.

6. Leave the filter to dry for 24Hrs before re-fitting.

How do you clean the pre-motor filter?

1. Remove the dust bin assembly from your cleaner.

2. Remove both pre-motor filters from the main product unit.

3. Remove any excess debris from the filters.

4. Clean the filters using lukewarm water.

6. Leave the filters to dry for 24 Hours before re-fitting.

Does this come with anti-hair wrap?

Yes, the HL5 has Anti-Twist Technology to prevent hair wrapping around the roller during cleaning.
