Vacuum and mop in one go

With the smart water tank, you can choose the preferred level of water release to suit your floor type. Select the Y-shaped mopping function for optimal results simulating manual cleaning.

All floor cleaning

The rotating brush uses a combination of bristles and rubber blades to pick up dust and dirt from all types of flooring, whilst the side brush sweeps corners and edges. Suction power of up to 4000 Pa pulls the dust and debris up into the robot's dust chamber, leaving your floors clean.

Efficiency and precision

The Advanced Laser Navigation System continuously scans, learns and updates the layout of your home map - navigating with pinpoint accuracy for efficient cleaning. Anti-fall-down sensors allow it to detect and avoid steps or stairs, yet HG4 is capable of climbing onto obstacles up to 20mm in height such as rugs.

Quick mapping

With the quick mapping function of your HG4 robot, you'll be able to create the first map of your home in under 10 minutes*. *Based on test made in external laboratory in a 85m2 multi-room environment.

Customise your map

Once the map has been created, you can personalise it to suit your needs. Give a name to each room, split or merge them, add no-go areas or virtual walls in places where you don't want the robot to clean.

Set your routines

With HG4 you can set a cleaning routine to suit your home - perhaps you'd like to clean the kitchen every day, and the living room on Mondays and Fridays? In the app you can set which rooms get cleaned when, along with your preferred power level, and cleaning order of the rooms.

Control via app

Download the HG Robots app to control your HG4 from anywhere, even when you're not at home. You will access a world of convenient settings and personalisation.

Automatic recharge

When the cleaning is complete, HG4 automatically returns to its docking station to recharge. Should the battery level run low before the cleaning is finished, HG4 will go back to the base, recharge to 100% and resume cleaning from where it stopped.

FAQs

Do I need to use an app?

Yes, you need to download the HG Robots app to access all of the features, such as mapping your home and setting a cleaning schedule.

Is it complicated to set the Robot up?

All you need to do is download the app and follow the onscreen instructions. Make sure you use 2.4GHz Wifi to connect it. The first time you use the robot, it will spend up to 10 minutes creating a map of your home. Once the mapping is finished, you can set your preferences and create a cleaning schedule.

How does the mopping function work?

HG4 Hydro has a tank that you fill with clean water, and a mopping pad underneath. Use the app to tell the Robot which rooms to mop - make sure you avoid selecting rooms with rugs or carpets. After the cleaning is finished, the pad can easily be removed and washed in your washing machine at 40c. We've included a spare mop pad in the box for you to use while the other is being washed.

Can I add detergent to the water tank?

No - this can damage the appliance.

Can it clean multiple rooms?

Yes - your HG4 robot can move between rooms so long as the door is open, and the threshold strip is no higher than 2cm. If you only want to clean certain rooms, this can be set up using the app.

Is it safe to use near the stairs?

Yes - the anti-fall sensors allow HG4 to detect a step and avoid going too close to it

How long does it take to charge

Charging to 100% takes up to 4.5 hours

Which Robots have the self-emptying function?

HG4 Hydro Plus.

HG4 Hydro will need to be manually emptied.

How does the self-emptying work?

Only Applicable to HG4 Hydro Plus - After cleaning, the robot will automatically return to the base and empty the dust it has collected into the base station. All you need to do is replace the bag every 60 days, or whenever it is full. Replacement bags are available to purchase on Hoover Direct.
