Important safety notice

At Hoover we take product safety very seriously and as a responsible manufacturer implemented a product recall in March 2013 when we identified the possibility of component operating incorrectly in a small batch of Hoover Frost Free fridge freezers. The models affected were the HNC6185W, HNC6185A, HNC6200A, HNC6185WE, HNC6200WE & HNC6185AE and were manufactured between August 2011(week 34) and August 2012 (week 35).

As part of our on-going commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and providing the best possible care to our customers we are keeping this notification open for any customers that may have missed it at the time of issue.

Risk

Overheating could occur and in certain circumstances this could result in a fire.

Procedure

In order to prevent this possibility we kindly ask you to check whether your appliance is one of the models listed.

What to do next

If your appliance is outside the dates of manufacture specified, then you don’t need to do anything else.

If however your appliance is one of the affected models we will arrange for a service technician to visit your home to carry out a quick an unobtrusive modification, completely free of charge. We also recommend that you turn off your appliance as a safety precaution and do not use until it has been modified by one of our service technicians.
