Learn to clean your washing machine inside and out

Learn to clean your washing machine inside and out

Let’s face it: the washing machine is one of the most important household appliance  in our daily lives. This is why if we do not want its performance to be affected or it to deteriorate over time due to frequent use, it is important to take care of it, carrying out thorough and constant maintenance. How? By washing all of its components to banish unpleasant odours and the formation of mould and limescale once and for all.

A clean washing machine is the first step towards always having laundry that is fragrant and spotless, as well as a device that works perfectly over time. Here are some tips chosen for you by our blog’s experts to effortlessly achieve this goal!

    The drum

For obvious reasons, the laundry drum is one of the parts of the washing machine that contains the most bacteria and dirt. To limit the build-up of moisture and mould, always leave the door open after washing and avoid leaving wet clothes in the washing machine for a long time at the end of the cycle. For the same reason, avoid using it at night and waiting to take out your laundry the next day. In addition to this precaution, you should clean the drum at least once a month. To do so in a 100% eco-friendly way, insert 1 glass of white wine vinegar and run an empty wash at 95 degrees or use a professional hygienic cleaner.

    Detergent tray

The build-up of limescale and detergent can spoil the quality of the laundry. To prevent this, soak the detergent and softener drawers in hot water and sodium bicarbonate for about an hour, then clean the surface using a toothbrush.

    The seals

Washing machine seals are the components that are most susceptible to dirt accumulation. To prevent the formation of mould, dry the seals with a cloth at the end of each washing cycle. The water used for washing very often accumulates in the seals, creating unpleasant stagnation.

    Door and exterior

To clean the door and the exterior, always using natural solutions, spray a mixture of lukewarm water and apple vinegar directly onto the device, then wipe it with a soft cloth.

These small tricks will improve the quality of your laundry and the life of your appliance, which from today – thanks to Hoover technology – will also be able to identify your habits.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, the AXI washing machine can understand your voice and offer customised solutions for you and your family.

Save your favourite cycles, save time and freely wash all kinds of fabrics and colours together... AXI offers you this and much more!
